Uneeda Burton, age 78, of Russell Springs, KY (the Webb's Crossroad Community) passed away Sunday, September 23, 2012 at 11:25pmCT, at Russell County Hospital Emergency Room in Russell Springs, KY after several months illness.

Funeral services are at 2pmCT, Wednesday, September 26, 2012 , at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. David Coffey officiating. Interment will be in the New Hope Cemetery, 131 New Hope Cemetery Church Road, Columbia, KY. The family request visitation after 5pmCT on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at the funeral home.

She was born Saturday, March 17, 1934 in the Ella Community of Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Ralph and Alta Roberts Pike. She died Sunday, September 23, 2012, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 78 years, 6 months, and 6 days.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Arnold Burton on May 7, 1998 She is survived by
  • Three daughters: Reva Schmitt of Russell Springs, KY; Norma Lucas of Russell Springs, KY; and Angela Burton and fiancee' Kevin Lewis of Louisville, KY

  • One son: Richard Burton, Russell Springs, KY, and fiancee' Melinda Hayes

  • Three grandchildren: Missi Turner, Anthony Burton, and Latisha Lucas
Mrs. Burton was preceded in death by a sister, Norma Hitch.

She was a member of the New Hope Separate Baptist Church and a homemaker.

Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY in charge of arrangements.
