LW Volleyball extends win streak to eight Lindsey Wilson Volleyball Wins Error-Filled Match over Indiana Southeast News from Lindsey Wilson College NEW ALBANY, IN. -- The Lindsey Wilson College volleyball team ran its winning streak to eight straight Thursday night, September 20, 2012, with a 3-1 win over host Indiana University Southeast. The Blue Raiders run their record to 10-6 on the season with the 25-19, 25-20, 25-27, 25-23 win. The Grenadiers fall to 7-6 this season with the loss. Courtney Doyle led three Blue Raiders with double-digit kills in the match. Doyle finished with a match-high 15 kills to run her total of double-digit kill matches to six this season, including three out of her last four matches. Kailey Moorhead and Taylor Hayne added 11 kills each in the win. While the Blue Raiders hitting total was up, their efficiency -- Lindsey Wilson produced a .100 attacking percentage for the match -- was the lowest during the winning steak and the second lowest of the season. Lindsey Wilson finished the night with a season-high 33 attacking errors to contribute to the low attacking percentage. Unfortunately, the errors were not limited to the attack. Lindsey Wilson finished with a season-high 10 service errors for the match to help the host remain close throughout the match. Despite the error-filled match, Lindsey Wilson found a way to win. Andrea Taylor led the Blue Raiders with 45 assists while just missing a double-double with nine digs. With her nine digs, Taylor moves within 15 digs of becoming the first Blue Raider in the program's history to record at least 1,000 assists and 1,000 digs in their career. Taylor now has 2,793 assists over her career. IU-Southeast failed to post a single player in double figures in kills. Jade Troutman and Sara Schum each finished with nine kills as the Grenadiers hit .099 as a team. This story was posted on 2012-09-21 07:23:33
