LWC's Novak trailblazes way to Track 4,000 Meter Podium Click on headline for story with photo(s) By Chris Wells, Sports Information Director News from Lindsey Wilson Athletics FRISCO, TEXAS - Lindsey Wilson College's David Novak became the first Blue Raider man in the program's history to earn a spot on the podium on Thursday, September 20, 2012, at the USA Cycling Collegiate Track Nationals. Novak finished fourth in the men's 4,000-meter individual pursuit. Novak finished four seconds off the pace of winner Weston Luzadder from Marian University of Indianapolis, IN. Novak's finish helped the Blue Raiders move into seventh place following the first day of events. Lindsey Wilson has 83 points following two events. Thirteen events make of the Track National Championship schedule. Justin Lowe finished 25th while Michael Hart ended in 71st in the 74-man pursuit. Hannah Hayduk was the lone Blue Raider woman to compete Thursday. Hayduk finished 42nd in the 61-woman 500-meter time trial field. With her finish, Hayduk secured 27 points for the Blue Raiders towards the Team Omnium.
