Marcella Williams, 86, Casey County, KY (1926-2012)

She was a member of a large, highly regarded Casey County, KY, family. She was the widow of Frank Gladstone Williams and leaves 45 direct living descendants. She was a homemaker and a member of the Mt. Olive Christian Church

Marcella Williams, 86, passed away on Saturday September 15, 2012 at her residence.

Visitation will be held 6:00 P.M. at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel in Liberty, 142 KY Hwy 49, Liberty, KY, on Wednesday September 19,2012 and after 10amET/9amCT, on Thursday September 20, 2012 at Mt. Olive Christian Church. Funeral services will be held at 1pmET/12pmNoonCT, Thursday September 20, 2012 at Mt. Olive Christian Church. Rev. Greg Powell and Rev. Mike Brown Bro. Steve Cravens officiating. Burial will be in the Salyers Cemetery.



Marcella Williams, 86, Casey County, KY (1926-2012)

She was born in Argyle, KY on March 3, 1926. Marcella was the daughter of the late Oliver McKinley and Rosie Godbey Roy. She died September 15, 2012, at the age of 86 years, 6 months, and 12 days.

Mrs. Williams was the widow of Frank Gladstone Williams. She was a housewife and a member of the Mt. Olive Christian Church.

Survivors include:
  • Two daughters: Marsha Brown of Louisville, KY; and Patricia Jackson of London, KY

  • Two sons: Wayne Williams of Monks Corner, SC; and Noel Williams of Liberty, KY

  • Thirteen grandchildren

  • Nineteen great grandchildren

  • Nine great great grandchildren

  • One brother: Stanley Roy of Cincinnati, OH

  • and two sisters: Geneva Spaw of Cincinnati, OH; and Diana Harper of Somerset, KY
Preceding her in death was one son, Michael R. Williams; three brothers: Edward, Everett and Edsel Roy.
