Kudos to veterinarians who offered to lower the costs

But writer thinks Fiscal Court's actions mean more animal deaths

Peg Schaeffer writes:
I totally agree with Misty. We have just signed a death warrant for all of the animals at the shelter. GRAWL is supposed to be Green River Animal Welfare League - how is this for the animals' welfare? Kudos to the veterinarians who have offered to lower the costs of their services but I don't think they'll be very busy spaying and neutering the animals of the shelter, since even less people will be able to adopt at such high prices. Please - if you feel the need to surrender your pets think twice. If you have pets please keep them safe so they don't stray. The most important - spay and neuter your pets so overpopulation will no longer be a problem. - Peg Schaeffer
