ACES pre-school student loses life last night in mobile home fire From Alan W. Reed I regretfully want to report that one of our pre-school students at Adair County Elementary School lost his life in a house fire in Russell County last evening. Mr. Robbie Harmon, Principal at ACES and Ms. Brenda Mann, our Director of student services called me within minutes of each to report this tragedy. Apparently Hector Curry spent the night with a friend in Russell County following a birthday party. Shortly after 9pmCT, the Russell County Fire Department was called to a mobile home fire across from the fairgrounds. They were unable to reach either Hector or his friend due to the heat and intense smoke. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families. Full obituary information will be posted when received - CM This story was posted on 2012-09-09 11:14:44
