DAMAGING WINDS WILL BE THE MAIN THREAT WITH THESE STORMS. ISOLATED TORNADOES WILL BE POSSIBLE AS WELL...ESPECIALLY IN SOUTHERN INDIANA. LARGE HAIL WILL BE LESS OF A THREAT BUT STILL POSSIBLE. The National Weather Service in Louisville, KY, has issued the following forecast for Columbia, KY. this forecast from update at 4:15amCT September 7, 2012
Today - Isolated showers and thunderstorms after 1pm. Patchy fog before 7am. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 89. Calm wind becoming southwest 5 to 8 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Tonight - Periods of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after midnight. Some storms could be severe, with damaging winds. Low around 67. South wind 6 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.
