Floyd Collins Fest is September 8, 2012 in Horse Cave, KY

Kentucky Repertory Theatre, 107 East Main Street, Horse Cave, KY, is presenting Floyd Collins, a musical by Adam Guettel, through September 9, 2012.

The Floyd Collins Fest is Saturday, September 8. Tickets can be purchased for the entire event or for separate parts.



The schedule for September 8, 2012 is:
- 8:00am - Meet at American Cave Museum (all times are CT)
- 8:30am - Bus leaves cave museum parking lot for field tour to Sand Cave, The Wayfarer, Mammoth Cave Cemetery, Floyd Collins Homestead, and Great Crystal Cave
- 12:00noon - Lunch at Mammoth Cave Restaurant
- 1:30pm - Bus arrives back in Horse Cave
- 2:00pm - Theatre matinee performance of Floyd Collins Musical
- 4:00pm - Question and Answer after the play with Collins family members
- 4:30pm - 7:00pm - Reception at American Cave Museum with old time music performance at the Hidden River Cave entrance. Floyd Collins exhibits will be on display in the museum's Special Exhibit Gallery.
- 7:30pm - Theatre evening performance of Floyd Collins Musical
Tickets: $50.00 per person - includes one theatre ticket, one American Cave Museum and Hidden River Cave ticket, Field Trip, and lunch at Mammoth Cave Restaurant; $30.00 per person - Field Trip only. Tickets to the museum and to the theatre can be purchased separately.

- Floyd Collins Historical Exhibit at the American Cave Museum's Special Exhibit Gallery through September 9, 9am-7pmCT. The American Cave Museum is at 119 East Main Street, Horse Cave, Kentucky, 270-786-1466.

- Kentucky Repertory Theatre is at 107 East Main Street, Horse Cave, Kentucky (entrance off Maple Street), 270-786-2177. Floyd Collins, The Musical, is 7pmCT Friday and Saturday nights and at 2pmCT Sundays, through September 9, 2012. Robert Stone
