Baptist Campus Ministry holds Luau on Stapp Lawn A big event in Campbellsville University's official Welcome Week Click on headline for story with photo(s) By Linda Waggener News from Campbellsville University CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY - Campbellsville University's Baptist Campus Ministry (BCM) held its annual dinner at 5pmET on Stapp Lawn, Tuesday, August 28, 2012 to welcome new and returning students. This year's dinner had a Hawaiian Luau theme and is just one among 35 activities being held especially for students, and the second BCM activity after the Sunday Night The menu included pork-veggie-and-pineapple shish kabobs with rice and fresh fruit for the outdoor event. Games included kick ball, ultimate Frisbee and bean bag toss. All CU students are encouraged to find areas in which they can serve others during their academic career. Students are also invited to select and sign up for ministry teams, including: "Disciple Now" Teams, Ministry Teams, CU Crew, Freshman Family, Community Units. BCM coordinates several mission trips throughout the year. The 2012-13 mission trips: Haiti--My Life Speaks Orphanage; Prison Ministry--Central Florida "Guys only"; Guatemala - Prince of Peace Orphanage; Beach Reach Panama City Beach, Fl.; West Africa; and Honduras.
