Gradyville Baptist Church Click on headline for item with photo(s) By Kenny Browning, the Feedman Located close to Hwy 80 in Gradyville, Kentucky. Noticed when geo-tagging it that the road to it is off of Walker Store Road. Have a feeling that the Walker Store is long gone. I have noticed the church from Hwy 80 and from the Cumberland Parkway and always thought that it was in a scenic location. Took the time today to take a few photos of it and a few other spots in the Gradyville area. In the early 1900,s it was a booming town with a population of 300 or more and had several businesses. A flash flood in June of 1907 changed the town forever, leaving twenty-one dead, the village devastated, and several thousand acres of growing crops ruined. - Kenny Browning, The Feedman This story was posted on 2012-08-27 05:15:12
