Junior Officer In support of FFA

By Keisha Moss
Personal views of the writer

My name is Keisha Moss and I am a Junior Officer for the Adair County High School.

As most people already know, Adair County has had an Ag teacher retire at the beginning of this school year.

Mr. Harvey was the sophomore and senior agriculture teacher for 33 years. Besides being a great teacher,he also taught me more meaningful things that I can take with me after graduation.

While being in his class my sophomore year, I learned so much. From working in the shop, to farm safety, I've had the great experience of understanding how Ag really helps people.

Without my ag class, I wouldn't know the parts of a tractor, how to properly drive one, or the proper way of using hand tools.

Being a FFA Officer has also made me see how important the FFA is to Adair County and the agriculture community.

We help with farm safety day for the younger classes, we have helped at the Old Homeplace Fall Festival, and many farmers come to the ag barn to get help with their animals.

Please join me on Monday, August 20th, 3:15CT at the Adair County High School Library to show your support on hiring a new agricultural teacher and continuing our great Adair County FFA tradition. Thank you, Keisha Moss
