Adair FFA student urges turnout in support of third Ag teacher Adair County High School monthly Site-based Council meeting Note: the Street & Number is in boldface to emphasize that the FFA's Big Address Marker Fundraiser has been kicked off. -CM By Amber Akers, ACHS FFA Junior Officer Personal commentary by FFA member The school system has changed so much, but in a good way! Our FFA chapter would love to stay the same as it is right now. Alan Reed came in today and went to our spotless ag shop and the only words he said were, "We're going to improve and replace some equipment." But that doesn't mean anything! He still has something up to his mind about our classes. We want Mr. Harvey back although we all know he isn't going to, which is very upsetting; so we're going to replace his spot . Well, that's what all of us students are wanting so therefore we need as many people as possible to come to the site base meeting and arguealong with the other people that think Mr. harvey should be replaced with another agriculture teacher for us to learn more, Mr. Harveys class is also a big class that you learn a lot of stuff in along with Mr. Hancock's. Agriculture class is a very important class to me. I have learned a lot of stuff more in that class than any other class! Also when we students grow up some of us might wanna be a welder or a huge farmer, etc. People look at it as we do nothing in there. Well, we do. We learn about cows, building things, crops, land, soil, welding, plants, etc. Our FFA is one of the biggest organizations in the school and county. We want to keep it the same so everyone come help support us! meeting, Monday, August 20, 2012, at 3:15pmCT, in the library at Adair County High School, 526 Indian Drive, Columbia, KY -CM) Written by Amber Akers FFA Junior Officer - AMBER AKERS This story was posted on 2012-08-15 07:40:26
