Election Filing Deadline is August 14, 2012, at 4pmCT The deadline to file for offices, including the Adair County Board of Education and the Columbia City Council, is Tuesday, August 14, 2012, at 4pmCT, in the office of Adair County Court Clerk Sheila Blair. All six city council seats are subject to the election, as well as Adair County Board of Education seats in Divisions 2, 4, and 5. The election to fill out the unexpired term for Circuit Court Judge for Adair and Casey County, created by the death of Judge James Weddle, is also open, but filing for that office is at the Secretary of State's Office in Frankfort, KY, and the filing deadline is 4pmET/3pmCT.
