Edward Lee Clark, Metcalfe Co., KY (d. July 31, 2012)

He was a highly regarded resident of North Metcalfe County, KY. His marriage to Shirley Trent Clark, who survives, endured 61 years. He leaves 12 direct living descendants. Mr. Clark was a member of the Center United Methodist Church, retired bookkeeper for Bale Tobacco Warehouse, farmer,and avid outdoorsmen

Edward Lee Clark, 79, of Center, KY died Tuesday July 31, 2012 at the T.J.Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY. He was the son of the late Ralphand Allyne Pierce Clark.

Funeral services will be 1pmCT, Saturday, August 4, 2012, at the Center United MethodistChurch. Visitation will be Friday,August, 3, 2012, 4pm-8pmCT, at the ButlerFuneral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, and Saturday from 11amCT until time ofservices at the church. Mr. Clark chose to be cremated. Interment at theAsbury/Center cemetery will take place at a later date.



Mr. Clark was a member of the Center UnitedMethodist Church, retired bookkeeper for Bale Tobacco Warehouse, farmer,and avid outdoorsmen.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Shirley Trent Clark of Center, KY, and the following:
  • One son: Rick (Billie Mae) Clark of Indiana

  • Two daughters" Karen (WilliamEugene) Nunn of Glasgow, KY; and Laurie (Lynn) Finn of Center

  • Seven grandchildren: J.W. Martin, J.P. Martin, Elizabeth Sypole, MeaganPeek, William Stuart Nunn, Seth Nunn, and Daniel Finn

  • Two great grandchildren
Alternate expressionsof sympathy may include donations to the Center United Methodist ChurchMemorial Fund c/o Marsha Jeffries 308 Skyline Drive Edmonton, KY, orthe Metcalfe County Public Library.
