Man arrested in Kroger after shoplifting complaint from Walmart Indianapolis man lodged in Taylor Co. Detention Center facing multiple charges News from the Campbellsville, KY Police Department The Campbellsville Police Department responded Tuesday July 31,2012 to acall from the Walmart store in Green River Plaza reporting a Theft by a Shoplifter.Upon arrival it was later learned the perpetrator actually used physical force to escapethe store with the merchandise. A physical description was provided by witnesses at thescene in addition to a vehicle description. Officers on the scene conducted a search of the shopping center and discovered thevehicle parked and unoccupied. Extended searches on foot led officers to the Krogerstore where the suspect was located and arrested. Officers arrested Jarrell Votzie; w/m; age 35; 4202 Bluff Road; Indianapolis, IN.Further investigation revealed that Votzie was wanted in Indiana and Kentucky onseveral charges. In addition to the outstanding charges, Votzie was charged locally with Robbery 2nddegree; Possession of marijuana; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; and Possessionof Methamphetamine. Votzie was lodged in the Taylor County Regional Jail. The investigation is continuing. Campbellsville Police Department Officer Scotty Perian; assisted by Capt. Shannon Wilson and and SGT.
