Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday August 2, 2012 at 10amCT, in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N. Main Street, Burkesville, KY, with burial in the Rose of Sharon Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 11amCT on Wednesday August 1, 2012 until service time on Thursday.



Mrs. Anna V. Burns Ferguson, Hegira, KY (1916-2012)

She was born on Saturday October 21, 1916 in Clinton County, Kentucky the daughter of William Winifred "Winnie" and Mariah Arms Burns.

She was a member of Rose of Sharon United Methodist Church, and a personal care provider.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, Joe Jarvis, Gerald Dale Hamilton, and Edd Ferguson, an infant daughter, her son, Gerald Hamilton; her daughter, Shirley King; her step-daughter, Iva Martin; her brothers, Arco Burns and Millard Burns; an infant brother, and her half-sister, Della Thrasher.

She is survived by the following:
  • Her children: Curt Jarvis of Springport, IN; Evelyn Lowe of Rushville, IN; Bobby Jarvis of New Castle, IN; Jack Jarvis of Muncie, IN;, Patty Neal of New Castle, IN, Betty Boram of Spiceland, IN;, Danny Wayne Jarvis of Indiana: Donna Hamilton of Bow, KY; and Harold Hamilton of Burkesville, KY

  • Step children: Gilbert Hamilton of Indianapolis, IN; Patsy Burns of Louisville, KY; Peggy Meeks of Louisville, KY; and Margaret Vincent of Lumberton, Texas

  • Several grandchildren, Great great frandchildren and great great great grandchildren
