She was a member of a large, respected Green County, KY, family. She leaves 15 direct living descendants. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church and a member of the Order of the Easter Star

Mrs. Nina Lora Burton Bowman departed this life Monday, July 23, 2012, at Transcendent Health Care in Owensville, Indiana, having attained the age of 90 years, 5 months and 14 days.

Funeral services were held at 1pmCT, Saturday, July 28, 2012, at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, Greensburg, KY with Rev. Fred Thompson the officiating clergy. Burial was in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Green County.

Mrs. Nina Lora Burton Bowman was born February 9, 1922 in Rowan County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of the the late Harley and Martha Hall Burton. She departed this life Monday, July 23, 2012, in Owensville, Owen County, having attained the age of 90 years, 5 months and 14 days.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church and a member of the Order of the Easter Star.

She is survived by the following:
  • One daughter: Carolyn Sue Bishop of Greensburg, KY

  • Two sons: Henry Price of Mt. Carmel, Illinois and Larry Price of Greensburg, KY

  • Six grandchildren: Gail Dailey, Julie Keeper, William and Terry Bishop, Stephanie Thompson and Philip Price

  • Six great grandchildren
