Bulletin from Bliss: Traffic is flowing on the new 61 S

And, Woody's Styrofoam bear has climbed the closest tree and gotten himself stuck, and divers other goings on from Greater Bliss
She sends plaint: Watch out for poor farmers on the new Big Road

By Miz Victoria
Greater Bliss bureaur correspondent

The traffic is flowing on the new 61 S, Burkesville Road from just south of my girls and Woody's styrofoam bear, who has now climbed the closest tree and is now stuck. He is being covered in lime from the drilling of a new oil well just up the hill. Poor thing looked pittyful before, but he will be worse after a few days of continued liming. Enjoy the new road folks. Please watch out for us poor farmers on tractors going down the road since we can't go as fast as the rest of you. - Victoria Pike who is not mad because no orphan road was named "Pike Pike," when it could of been.

Picture proof: Miz Victoria is right about Woody's Bear behavior

2012-07-16 - WoodysBee Tree, The Flatwoods, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener.
While it may not be found by the untrained eye Miz Victoria's sighting of Woody's styrofoam bear can be faintly discerned by Blue Ribbon Bear Board Members who have secured the difficult-to-obtain credentials to make such findings: Woody's Styrofoam Bear had clumb halfway to the top of a dead bee tree, maybe on a more elemental quest for honey than, as has been surmised, because it is afraid of the new traffic on the Chattanooga Highway or is averse to getting covered in lime dust. The scene is across the Flatwoods/Greater Bliss boundary line(s) Stotts Lane and KY 61 S. (A minor municipal territory dispute has not been resolved). -EW
