She was a homemaker and a member Corinth Baptist Church

Mamie Louise Birge McIntyre, age 73 of Summer Shade, died Thursday, July 12, 2012 at the U of L Hospital in Louisville, KY.

Funeral services will be Sunday, July 15 at 2pmCT, at the White Chapel with Bro. Taylor Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the White Cemetery. Visitation was Saturday, July 14 at 1:00 PM at the McMurtrey Funeral Home.



She was a daughter of the late Elbert Tom and Clara Vance Birge. She was a homemaker and a member of the Corinth Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Jessie McIntyre, and the following:
  • One daughter: Bonita ( Jason) Poore of Glasgow, KY

  • One brother: Howard (Evie ) Birge of Austin Tracy, KY
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Barry McIntyre, sisters, Irma Copas, Lois England, and brothers, Ewell, Horace, Mervin, Lee and Edgar Birge.

Memorials are suggested to the White Cemetery or the Summer Shade Fire Dept.c/o the McMurtrey Funeral Home, 2232 Summer Shade Rd. Summer Shade,Ky. 42166.
