Adair Co., KY fire destroys Biggerstaff body shop, vehicles

The Adair County Fire Dept responded to a fire on Tuesday nigh, July 10, 2012, at 11:48pmCT to 257 Richards Lane, Columbia, to find a 45 x 45 shop building used for body shop engulfed in fire. The owner was Danny Biggerstaff of Columbia. The building was a total loss. Also destroyed in the fire was a 2005 Dodge Truck, 2011 Jeep Wrangler, 1970 Chevelle, and a Harley Davidson motorcycle. There were 17 firemen on the scene for about 1 hour and 45 minutes and the origin of the fire has not been determined. - Donald Hare

Total loss
Danny Biggerstaff's body shop building was a total loss. Also destroyed in the fire was a 2005 Dodge Truck, 2011 Jeep Wrangler, 1970 Chevelle, and a Harley Davidson motorcycle. Adair County Fireman battled the fire, which started just before midnight, Tuesday, July 10, 2012, but in the end, everything was a total loss.
