Raymond Eugene Bitner, Summer Shade, KY (d. July 10, 2012) He was the patriarch of a highly regarded Metcalfe County, KY, family. He leaves 20 direct living descendants. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and will be accorded military honors by the Glasgow Chapter of the DAV. He was a member of the Mt. Moriah Cumberland Presbyterian Church Raymond Eugene Bitner, age 87 of Summer Shade, died Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at the Cumberland Co. Hospital. Funeral services will be Friday, July 13, 2012 at 11amCT, at the McMurtrey Funeral Home, 2232 Summer Shade Road, Summer Shade, KYm with Bro. Timmy Adams officiating. Burial will follow in the Summer Shade Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the Glasgow Chapter 20 of the DAV.Visitation will begin Thursday, July 12 at 2pmCT at the funeral home. He was a son of the late Earnest Ray and Ota Shope Bitner and was an Army Veteran of WW II. He was a member of the Mt. Moriah Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He is survived by the following:
