Edgar C. Smith, Metcalfe County, KY (d. June 29, 2012)

He was a member of a highly regarded Metcalfe County, KY family. His marriage to Bedie Belle Jobe Smith, who survives, had endured 70 years. He was a retired farmer and a deacon of Penicks Chapel Baptist Church

Funeral services will be held 2pmCT, Sunday, July 1, 2012, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Missionary MoundCemetery. Visitation after 10amCT, Sunday at the funeral home.

He was the son of the late Zib and Lou EvaWord Smith.

Edgar was a member and deacon of the Penicks ChapelUnited Baptist Church and retired farmer.

He issurvived by his wife of 70 years Bedie Belle Jobe Smith of Edmonton, KY, and the following:
  • A twin sister: Edna Walbert of Glasgow, KY

  • And one brother: Ray (Georgia Nell)Smith of Glasgow, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews.
Besides hisparents he was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister; Carlos,Ray and Mae Smith.

Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, in charge of arrangements.
