Mr. William Lee Fudge, Marrowbone, KY (1935-2012)

He was the patriarch of a large, highly regarded Cumberland County, KY, family. He is survived by 14 direct living descendants. He was the husband of Wanda Lucille Collins Fudge, who preceded him in death. He was a member of Grider United Methodist Church, a United States Army Veteran, and a steelworker for Tyson Manufacturing in Glasgow, KY.

Mr. William Lee Fudge, age 77, of Marrowbone, Ky., passed away Monday June 25, 2012 at the Cumberland County Hospital in Burkesville, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, June 28, 2012 at 4pmCT in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N. Main Street, Burkesville, KY. Burial will follow in the Marrowbone Cemetery, Marrowbone, KY. The family will receive friends after 1pmCT, Wednesday, June 27, 2012 until service time Thursday.

He was born on Friday, April 26, 1935 in Cumberland County, Kentucky the son of Willie Alfred and Mary Gladys Riddle Fudge. He died Monday, June 25, 2012, in Burkesville, Cumberland County, KY, at the age of 77 years, 1 month, and 29 days

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Lucille Collins Fudge, his sister, Margaret Elizabeth Fudge Hindman.

He is survived by the following:
  • His daughters: Sherri Groce of Anderson, Indiana, Shelia (and Edward) Stalcup of Burkesville, KY; Sara (and Jeff) Melton of Marrowbone, KY, Sonya (and Donnie) Carter of Burkesville, KY

  • His grandchildren: MaryBeth Rogers, Lori Lee Baker, Chris Garvey, John Michael Stalcup, D.J. Carter, Chad Melton, and Luke Carter

  • His great-grandchildren: Caleb Wells, Kutter Rogers, and Carlee Jo Baker
