News from Lindsey Wilson College

COLUMBIA, KY - Columbia-Adair County hosted more than 250 guests Saturday as the Lindsey Wilson College community celebrated its third-annual School of Professional Counseling Day.

The annual summer event gathers students from LWC's 26 community campuses throughout Kentucky, Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia to the liberal arts college's A.P. White Campus.

Students meet with faculty and staff in the LWC School of Professional Counseling, attend academic workshops and take part in several team-building activities.

Thanks to an innovative partnership with local community colleges, Lindsey Wilson provides its School of Professional Counseling's undergraduate and graduate programs in a convenient format for area residents. After earning an associate degree from a community college, a student can earn a bachelor of arts degree in human services and counseling in less than two years and then a nationally accredited master's degree in counseling and human development in about two years. -Duane Bonifer, Lindsey Wilson College
