She was a former Day Care Director for the Greensburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church, a member of the American Legion Auxiliary where she had been a past President, and was a member of the Ladies Rook Club

Mrs. Nancy D. Milby, 78, of Greensburg, KY, departed this life on Thursday, June 7, 2012 at the Norton's Hospital in Louisville, KY.

The funeral services for Mrs. Nancy D. Milby will be conducted at 1pmCT, Sunday, June 10, 2012 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main Street, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Green County Memory Gardens. Bro. Kevin Brantley and Bro. Joe Jones will be officiating. Visitation is requested from 4pm-8pmCT, Saturday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT, Sunday until time of the funeral service.



Mrs. Nancy D. Milby, Green Co., KY (1933-2012)

Mrs. Nancy D. Milby of Greensburg, Ky was the daughter of the late James E. Durrett and Katherine Chandler Durrett. She was born on August 27, 1933 in Taylor County, KY, and departed this life on Thursday, June 7, 2012 at the in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY. She was 78 years, 9 months and 11 days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member and former Deacon/Elder of the Greensburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was a former Day Care Director for the Greensburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church, a member of the American Legion Auxiliary where she had been a past President, and was a member of the Ladies Rook Club.

She united in marriage to Walter Randall Milby on June 4, 1954 who preceded her in death on August 21, 2001.

Survivors include the following:
  • Four daughters and three sons-in-law: Melinda and Dennis (Chopper) Hall of Greensburg, KY; Cindy and Brad Butterfield of Louisville, KY; Jan English of Louisville, KY; and Terri and Mike Talbott of Greensburg, KY

  • Six grandchildren: Randy English of Lexington, KY; Paige Hall of Greensburg, KY; Erin Eichenberger and her husband Joel of Louisville, Rachel Butterfield of Louisville, KY; Mikayla Talbott and Callee Talbott both of Greensburg, KY

  • A sister: Mary Katherine Sutton of Louisiana

  • And a host of other relatives and many friends.
Mrs. Milby was also preceded in death by two sisters and a brother: Virginia Rice, Georgiana Cates, and James Edward Durrett II.

Memorials are suggested to the Greensburg Cumberland Presbyterian Crossroads Program, which can be made at the funeral home.
