Elizabeth Money Coakley, Taylor Co., KY (1915-2012)

She was a native of Green County, KY. She was the last surviving member of the Taylor County High School Class of 1934. She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville. She professed faith in Christ and was a faithful and active member of the Beech Grove Baptist Church for over 80 years. She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville, KY

Elizabeth Money Coakley, 96, of Campbellsville, KY, died at 2:30pmET, Wednesday, June 6, 2012, in Louisville, KY.

Funeral services will be at 2pmET/1pmCT, Sunday, June 10, 2012 at the Parrott& Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville by Rev. Larry Rowell. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, West Main Street, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation will be 4pm-8pmET/3pm-7pmCT, Saturday, June 9, 2012 at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home



Pallbearers: Deacons of Beech Grove Baptist Church - Barry Blakeman, Jim Campbell, Bobby Gilpin, Eddie Gorin, Tim Harris, Byron Larimore, Robert Larimore, Gordon Milby. Mitchell Patterson, Robbie Van Cleave, Frank Wilcoxson.

Elizabeth Money Coakley, Taylor Co., KY (1915-2012)

Elizabeth Money Coakley, daughter of the late James Robert Money and Louettie Miller Money, was born in Green County, KY, Sunday, July 11, 1915. She died Wednesday, June 6, 2012, in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY at the age of 96 years, 10 months, and 26 days.

She professed faith in Christ and was a faithful and active member of the Beech Grove Baptist Church for over eighty years. She was the last surviving member of the Taylor County High School Class of 1934. She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.

She united in marriage to Paul E. Coakley December 25, 1936. He preceded her in death June 8, 1993.

She is survived by the following:
  • One son and daughter-in-law: Robert and Sandra Coakley of Frankfort, KY

  • One brother: Vernon Money of Burkesville, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends
She was also preceded in death by one sister and two brothers: Altha Lee Sullivan, Morris Money and J.R. Money (in infancy).
