Mr. Freddy Wayne Estes, 77 of Louisville, Kentucky, a native of Green County, KY, departed this life on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at the Kindred Hospital in Louisville, KY.

The funeral services for Mr. Freddy Wayne Estes will be conducted at 2pmCT , Saturday, June 9, 2012 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main Street, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Bethlehem Cemetery. Bro. Bobby Estes will be officiating. Visitation is requested after 12pm noon CT, Saturday until time of the funeral service at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral home.


Freddy Wayne Estes, Green Co., KY, (1934-2012)

Mr. Freddy Wayne Estes of Louisville, Kentucky, a native of Green County, Kentucky, son of the late William Lanis Estes and Alta Mae England Estes, was born on December 19, 1934 in Green County, KY and departed this life on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at the Kindred Hospital in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY. He was 77 years, 5 months, and 18 days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ. He was a former Printing Company Misonex Operator, and a former United States Postal Carrier. He was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the United States Navy from 1948 - 1952. He is survived by the following:
  • Two brothers and sisters-in-law: L.C. and Elizabeth Estes of Greensburg, KY; and Bobby and Vicki Estes of Harrodsburg, KY

  • Two sisters: Evelyn Bishop of Campbellsville, KY; and Brenda Ford of Louisville, KY

  • And a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
Mr. Estes was also preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters: Herman Estes, Holland Estes, James Estes, Elsie Nunn, and Mary Alice Judd.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the family burial fund, which can be made at the funeral home.
