Ms. Shirley Sue Milby Marcum, 63, of Greensburg, Kentucky, departed this life on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at her home in Greensburg.

The funeral service for Ms. Shirley Sue Milby Marcum will be conducted at 11amCT, Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main Street, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Pickett's Chapel Cemetery, by Pickett's Chapel UMC, 3047 Portland Road (Adair County), KY. Bro. Dale Curry will be officiating. Visitation is 4pm-8pmCT, Monday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT, Tuesday until time of the funeral service.


Pallbearers; Tim Day, Greg Cantrell, Billy Cantrell, Blake Day, Chad Heath, and Richard Jordan.

Ms. Shirley Sue Milby Marcum, was the daughter of the late Elmer Milby and Elva Kemp Burris. She was born on November 11, 1948 in Adair County, KY, and departed this life on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at her home in Greensburg. She was 63 years, 6 months and 22 days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg United Methodist Church. She was a L.P.N. and retired from the nursing profession after more than 40 years of service.

She is survived by the following:
  • A daughter and son-in-law: Beverley and Tim Day Greensburg, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Macy Thompson and Devin Day of Greensburg, KY; and Blake Day of Campbellsville, KY

  • A sister and brother-in-law: Fredia and Billy Cantrell of Campbellsville; KY

  • Nieces: JoAnna Sutton and Bethany Cantrell

  • Nephew: Greg Cantrell.
>She was also preceded in death by a grandson: Jacob Austin Thompson.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the family burial fund, which can be made at the funeral home.
