Mrs. Betty Elizabeth Jewell Davis Simpson, Green Co., KY (1932-2012) She was a native of Jefferson County, KY, and a member of a highly regarded Green County, KY, family. She became a Christian early in her life and was a member of the Russell Creek Baptist Church. She enjoyed making crafts and tending her flowers. Her desire in life was to help at least one person every day. Click on headline for complete obituary with photo(s) Mrs. Betty Elizabeth Jewell Davis Simpson, 80, of Donansburg, was born in Jefferson County on March 30, 1932 to the late John and Kate Smith Jewell and departed this life on May 30, 2012 due to injuries she sustained from an automobile accident. The funeral service will be conducted at 1pmCT, Saturday, June 2, 2012, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main Street, Greensburg, KY, with Bro. Mickey Pruitt, Bro. Nicky Ferguson and Bro. Wayne Morgan officiating. Burial will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3pm-9 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. Pallbearers: Chad Ferguson, Josh Ferguson, Dave Atwell, Jamie Pedigo, Nick Pruitt, and Joey Grissom. Honorary pallbearers: Jordan and Jakin Pruitt, Adalyn Pedigo. Mrs. Betty Elizabeth Jewell Davis Simpson, Green Co., KY (1932-2012) Mrs. Betty Elizabeth was born in Jefferson County, KY, on Wednesday, March 30, 1932. She was the daughter of the late John and Kate Smith Jewell and departed this life on Wednesday, May 30, 2012, in Green County, KY, at the age of 80 years, 2 months. She became a Christian early in her life and was a member of the Russell Creek Baptist Church. She enjoyed making crafts and tending her flowers. Her desire in life was to help at least one person every day. She was united in marriage to Edgar L. Davis on September 17, 1949 who preceded her in death on April 16, 1988. She later was united in marriage to Lewis "Bill" Simpson on September 1, 2003 who survives. Her survivors also include the following:
