Mr. Oakley Phelps, Yosemite, KY (1940-2012)

He was a native Casey Countian, born on the 4th of July, 1940. He was a member of a respected Yosemite, KY family. He leaves three direct living descendants. He was a farmer and mechanic.

Mr. Oakley Phelps, age 71, of Yosemite passed away on Friday May 25, 2012 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, Somerset, KY.

Funeral services were held at 11amET/10amCT, Monday, May 28, 2012 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel, 142 KY 49, Liberty, KY, with Rev. Bobby Clark officiating. Burial is in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Mr. Oakley Phelps, Yosemite, KY (1940-2012)

Born July 4, 1940 in Argyle, Casey County, KY, he was a son of the late Albert and Dorsey Brown Phelps. He died Friday, May 25, 2012, in Somerset, Pulaski County, KY, at the age of 71 years, 10 months, and 21 days.

He was a farmer and mechanic.

Survivors include his wife; June Goforth Phelps, and the following:
  • A son: James and (Teresa) Phelpsof Randleman, NC

  • Two grandsons: Adam and Jesse Phelps.
