No street food stalls at Art in the Alley But there will be plenty of good places to eat in easy walking distance Learned a secret practiced by the promoters of Art in the Alley: They don't have food vendors on the street. The theory, they said, is that they want the event to benefit local restaurants, to help make them stronger financially. They have a number of them right downtown: Kentucky Headhunters, a Chinese and a Mexican Restaurant, Longhunters Coffee House, and a most delightful Snappy Tomato Pizza Store - a chain, but with a real local flavor. These are all in easy walking distance of the Festival. Learned this on a spy mission today to see what these Green Countians are up to. - ED WAGGENER. This story was posted on 2012-05-18 20:20:00
