Mr. John K. Durham, Green County, KY (1955-2012)

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg Baptist Church. He was an Insurance Agent for Durham-Mudd Insurance Agency for 21 years, and was a Banker. He was a past Rotarian, past Booster Club, an avid Green County sports fan and organized and conducted the Green County Little League Sports Radio Auction. John had been a coach and was involved with the Little League program for over 33 years.

Mr. John K. Durham of Greensburg, Kentucky, son of the late Gordon K. Durham and Sarah Lowe Durham, was born on October 23, 1955 in Louisville, Kentucky, and departed this life on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 in Campbellsville, Kentucky. He was 56 years, six months and 22 days of age.

The funeral services for Mr. John K. Durham will be conducted at 1pmCT., Thursday, May 17, 2012 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 South Main Street, Greensburg, KY with burial to follow in the Greensburg Cemetery. Bro. Blake Jessie, Bro. Dale Curry, and Dr. Richie Kessler will be officiating. Visitation is requested 4pm-9pmCT. Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT, Thursday, until time of the funeral service.

Mr. John K. Durham of Greensburg, Green County, Kentucky, son of the late Gordon K. Durham and Sarah Lowe Durham, was born on October 23, 1955 in Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky, and departed this life on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY. He was 56 years, six months and 22 days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg Baptist Church. He was an Insurance Agent for Durham-Mudd Insurance Agency for 21 years, and was a Banker. He was a past Rotarian, past Booster Club, an avid Green County sports fan and organized and conducted the Green County Little League Sports Radio Auction. John had been a coach and was involved with the Little League program for over 33 years.He united in marriage to Trena White Durham on March 8, 1992 who survives.

  • His children: Sara Shea Ellis and her husband Buddy of Greensburg, KY; Tiffany Squires, and Bubby Squires both of Campbellsville, KY; and Matt Squires and his wife Chelsea of Greensburg, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Brayden Janes of Campbellsville, KY; Austin Squires, and Andrew Squires both of Greensburg, KY

  • Two nephews: Richie Kessler of Campbellsville, KY; and Clint Durham of Lexington, KY

  • A niece: Jane Kelli Skaggs of Louisville, KY

  • A sister and brother-in-law: Susan and David Hudgins of Louisville, KY

  • A brother and sister-in-law: Tom and Fran Durham of Greensburg., KY
  • And a host of other relatives and many friends
Mr. Durham was also preceded in death by a sister: Janie Kessler on November 30, 1970.Memorials are suggested to the Green County Park Board, which can be made at the funeral home.The Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 South Main Street, Greensburg, KY in charge of arrangements.
