He was a member of a respected N. Metcalfe County, KY family. He leaves 14 direct living descendants. He was a farmer.

Charles Ray "Hot Shot" Fancher age 55 of Knob Lick, Kentucky diedThursday, May 3, 2012 at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY,after a lengthy illness.

Funeral services will be held at 3pmCT, Monday, May 7, 2012, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, Ky, with burial in the Fancher Cemetery in Metcalfe County, KY. Visitation will be 4pm-8pmCT Sunday, May 6, 2012, and after 9amCT, Monday at the funeral home.



He was a farmer and son of the late James and Lucille Poynter Fancher.He is survived by his wife of 37 years Devonia Botts Fancher. and the following:
  • Two sons: Billy and Jamie (Tiffany) Fancher, both of Knob Lick, KY

  • Two brothers: Carlos (Wilma) Fancher of Horse Caveand Damon Fancher of Glasgow, KY

  • Five sisters: Susan (Arnold) Crossof Knob Lick, KY; Jennifer McKinney of Horse Cave, KY: Rometta (J. Larry)Davenport of Glasgow, KY; Janet Stovall of Glasgow, KY; and Jaynette (Charles)Owens of Horse Cave, KY

  • Twelve grandchildren: Dakota, Matthew, Amber,Kaneca, Jacob, Chase, Paige, Makayla, Kaley, Rebecca, Kandis and CharleyFancher

  • Several nieces and nephews
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters. Chester, Edward, Vernon, Maxie and James Fancher, Louise Poynter and Avis Fancher.

Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, in charge of arrangements.
