Leon Rodgers, 86, of Campbellsville, KY died at 10:12pmET, Sunday, April 29, 2012 in Campbellsville, KY.

Funeral services were at 1pmET, Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY by Rev. Jim Durham. Burial is in the Bethlehem Cemetery in Green County, KY.



Pallbearers: Gary Glasscock, Ian Glasscock, Shane Glasscock, Richard Kearnes, Mark Mitchell, and Barry Tomes.

Leon Rodgers, Taylor Co., KY (1925-2012)

Leon Rodgers was the son of the late Bonnie Rodgers and the late Grace Sherrell Rodgers. He was born in Green County, KY, Monday, May 21, 1925. He died Sunday, April 29, 2012 in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 86 years, 11 months, and 22 days.

He professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith.

He was a retired employee of Taylor County RECC.

He united in marriage to Frances Kearnes August 26, 1961.

Besides his wife, Frances Rodgers, he is survived by the following:
  • One daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Gary Glasscock of Campbellsville, KY

  • Two grandsons: Ian Glasscock and Shane Glasscock of Campbellsville, KY

  • One brother: Houston Rodgers of Carrollton, Ohio

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Rodgers December 19, 1987 and a brother, Leo Rodgers.

The family requests expressions of sympathy to be donations to the Hospice of Central Kentucky and may be made at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.The Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY in charge of arrangements.
