He was a member of a highly regarded Adair County family. He attended the Kellyville Community Church, and was a retired Line Construction Foreman for Taylor County Rural Electric Corporative, having worked for over 35 years. He had served his country in the U. S. Army

Carmel Community, Columbia, Ky. passed away Thursday, April 26, 2012 at 9:57amCTat his homeFuneral services are Sunday, April 29, 2012 at 1pmCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY with Dr. Bob Doty the officiatiing clergy. Entombment in Memorial Gardens, 3878 Greensburg Road, Campbellsville, KY. with full military honors by Columbia, KY, VFW Post 6097. Visitation is after 4pmCT, Saturday, April 28, 2012, at the funeral home.

He was born on November 28, 1934 in Adair County, KY. He was the son of the late Tommy and Mattie Feese Cave. He died Thurday, April 26, 2012, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 77 years, 6 months, and 28 days.

He is survived by his wife: Naomi Overstreet Cave of Columbia, KY, and the following
  • Two daughters: Debra Clark and husband Larry of Columbia, KY, and Joyce Sneed and husband Marshall of Columbia, KY

  • One son: Steven Douglas Cave and wife Misty of Columbia, KY

  • One brother: R. T. Cave and wife Wanda of Columbia, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Tina Riggins Wells, Ryan Sneed, Macey Cave

  • Three great grandchildren: Greyson Riggins, Skylar Riggins and Kaylee Sneed
He was preceded in death by one sister and brother-in-law Christine and David Bridgewater

Also surviving several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends
