Alva Bunch, Jr., 64, of East Cumberland Avenue, Jamestown, died Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, KY.

The funeral services will be at 2pmCT, Sunday, April 29, 2012, at Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Ronnie Janes and Bro. Kelly Burton, Jr., the officiating clergy. Burial will be in the Helm Cemetery. Visitation is after 3pmCT, Saturday, April 28, 2012, at Bernard Funeral Home.

Pallbearers: Joe Sinclair, Eddie Reece, Kevin Helm, David Bunch, Tom Bunch, Terry Martin, Skylar Reece, and Zack Bunch.

He was born September 7, 1947, in Russell County, KY. He was the son of the late Pauline Shearer Bunch and the late Alva Hugh Bunch. He died Wednesday, April 25, 2012, in Lexington, Fayette County, KY, at the age of 64 years, 7 months, and 18 days.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Martin Bunch, Jamestown, KY, and the following:
  • Four children: Alisha (Eddie) Reece, Edmonton, KY; Chris (Cecelia) Bunch, Columbia, KY; Bambi (Joe) Sinclair, Jamestown, KY; and Allison Raymond, Jamestown, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Courtney Hamlett, Skylar Reece, and Hunter Reece.

  • One sister: Reva Brown, Russell Springs, KY

  • Two brothers: Ricky Bunch and Clifton Bunch, both of Russell Springs, KY
He was a minister.

Bernard Funeral Home, 367 Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, in charge of arrangements.
