One injured in three vehicle chain reaction crash

Accident occurs on East Broadway near the Gate gas station in Campbellsville, KY

Campbellsville/Taylor County Police Department report

The Campbellsville Police Department on responded to a three vehicle injury collision which occurred at 6:05pmET, Wednesday, April 11, 2012, on US 68/East Broadway, near the Gate gas station.



A 1998 GMC Jimmy operated by 17 year old James Collison IV of Campbellsville, KY was traveling east on US 68 when he collided with a 2003 Honda Civic being operated by 36 year old Jason Childress of Campbellsville, KY who was also traveling east.

After Collison's vehicle struck Childress' vehicle in the rear, it caused it to skid into a 1998 Chevrolet van being operated by 56 year old Wilma Abell of Campbellsville.

Childress was transported to Taylor Regional Hospital by Campbellsville/Taylor County EMS for possible treatment. No other injuries were reported. Campbellsville Police Officer Charlie Houk investigated.
