That seat is currently being held by Senator Vernie McGaha. Commenting on the Senator's upcoming retirement AC said, "for 15 years, Senator McGaha has been a strong conservative voice in Frankfort, and a tireless advocate for his constituents." AC went on to say, "Senator McGaha's leadership and wisdom will be missed by all." ]AC likes to say that he is "the right choice" amongst a crowded field of candidates. Not only is AC Donahue a proven leader, he is a true conservative as well. AC Donahue is not shy to tell you about his faith in God. He has led two highly successful men's ministries, and served in several leadership roles with Promise Keepers. AC has played percussion with praise and worship teams for over 15 years. He has been on Christian missions trips to unstable countries like Pakistan (2004) and Southern Sudan (2009). AC Donahue is a family man too. He has been faithfully married to his wife of 23 years. He and his wife have three children (20, 18 and 4). AC and his wife chose to home school their children all the way through high school. AC's son is a Junior at the University of Kentucky and his daughter is a Freshmen at Lindsey Wilson College.
