Clyonia Williams Fields, 71, Horse Cave, KY (d. March 29, 2012)

She was the matriarch of a large, respected family. She leaves 49 direct living descendants and 44 step-descendants to mourn her passing

Clyonia Williams Fields age 71 of Horse Cave died Thursday, March 29, 2012 at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY.

Funeral services will be held 2pmCT, Sunday, April 1,2012, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Foundation Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2pm-8pmCT, Saturday, March 31, 2012, and after 9amCT, Sunday at the funeral home.

She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Emma Cope Williams.She is survived by her husband Lois Fields of Horse Cave, KY, and the following:
  • Two sons: William and wife Debbie Phelps of Glasgow, KY; and Earl Eugene (Gene) Phelps and wife Becky of Cave City, KY

  • Five daughters: Connie Coffey of Edmonton, KY; Leona Wilson and husband Ronnie of Sulphur Well, KY; Tammy Gilbert of Franklin, KY; Barbara Britt of Fountain Run, KY; and Patricia Phelps of Summer Shade, KY

  • Five step sons: Herman, Kenny, Joey and Timmy Fields all of Richardsville, KY; and David Fields of Bowling Green, KY

  • One stepdaughter: Wanda Rose of Horse Cave, KY

  • Sixteen grandchildren

  • Twenty-six great grandchildren

  • And 24 step grandchildren and 15 step great grandchildren
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by two husbands. Earl Phelps and Frank Gilbert; two sons. Joseph and Jerry Phelps; two brothers and two sisters, Frank Williams, Radford Williams, Lee Davis and Dorthy Smith; two grandsons, Jamie Coffey and Billy Salmon; and one son in law James Coffey.

Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, in charge of arrangements.
