James Alexander (Jaw) Wilson

He was a World War II Veteran of the U.S. Army and a farmer

James Alexander (Jaw) Wilson, age 87 of Glasgow, KY, formerly of Marrowbone, died Saturday, March 24, 2012, at Kindred Hospital in Louisville, KY.

Funeral services were Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at 4pmCT at the McMurtrey Funeral Home, 2232 Summer Shade Road, Summer Shade, KY, with Bro. Todd Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in the Marrowbone Cemetery in Cumberland County, KY.



He was a retired farmer and a son of the late Melvin and Carrie White Wilson.

He was a WWII Veteran of the Army.

He is survived by:
  • Two daughters: Twona Wilson and Micha Wilson of Glasgow, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Todd and Jordan Pedigo

  • Two nieces and several cousins
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a good friend Margaret Wilson; a daughter Mary Margaret Wilson; two brothers, Harley and Charlie Wilson and one sister, Effie Wilson.

McMurtrey Funeral Home, 2232 Summer Shade Road, Summer Shade, KY in charge of arrangements.
