Wilma Jean Garmon, age 76 of Burkesville, Kentucky (the Dubre community) passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at the Monroe County Medical Center in Tompkinsville, KY.

Funeral services will beFriday, March 30, 2012 at 2pmCT, at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 North Main Street, Burkesville, Kentucky, with burial in the Marrowbone CemeteryVisitation will be after 3:30pmCT on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home in Burkesville.



She was a daughter of the late George Harrison Shaw and Bessie Bell Franklin Shaw.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Harold Garmon and brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Nelton and Evelle Garmon and Ewing Huckelby.

Survivors include:
  • Her sister: Hazel Huckelby of Willow Shade, KentuckyNiece: Carolyn Garmon and her husband Rondall of Dubre, Kentucky

  • Two great nephews: Randy Garmon and his wife Angela of Tompkinsville, KY, Craig Garmon of Dubre, Kentucky

  • Great great niece and nephew: Cameron Garmon and Hailee Garmon both of Tompkinsville, Kentucky

  • Brother in law: Phillip Garmon and his wife Betty of Burkesville, KY

  • Sisters in law: Loretta Huckelby of Dubre, Kentucky; Covella Hare and her husband Mitchell of Cave City, Kentucky; Louise Gibson and her husband Gene of Edmonton, Kentucky; and Linda Traylor and her husband David of Edmonton, Kentucky

  • And a host of other nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends
