Arvel Craig, 96, Bardstown, KY, formerly of Russell County, KY, died Tuesday, March 20, 2012, at Thomson-Hood Veterans Center, Wilmore, KY.

Funeral services will be at 12pm noon CT, Friday, March 23. 2012, at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 Main Street, Russell Springs, Ky, with Bro. Bobby Conner the officiating clergy. Burial will be in Ridgecrest Cemetery. Visitation will be after 9amCT, Friday, March 23, 2012 at Bernard Funeral Home.

Arvel Craig, Russell Co., KY (1915-2012)

Arvel Craig was born August 15, 1915, in Russell County, KY. He was the son of the late Vela Malone Craig and the late Leo Craig. He died Tuesday, March 20, 2012, in Wilmore, Jessamine County, KY, at the age of 96 years, 7 months, and 5 days.He is survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

He was a farmer and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He enlisted in the Army in September, 1942.

Bernard Funeral Home, 367 Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, in charge of arrangements.
