Planning meeting for 23rd Project Graduation Mar. 22, 2012

Safe graduations are possible through support of friends, businesses, volunteers

By Brenda Mann

A planning meeting to organize the 2012 Adair County High Project Graduation will be held at 5:30pmCT, Thursday, March 22, 2012, in the Adair County High Library. 526 Indian Drive, Columbia, KY.

This is the twenty-third year that seniors, juniors and their guests will enjoy a safe alcohol/drug free graduation party.

Besides hanging out with friends and classmates, students play games, win prizes, showcase their talents, listen to music and enjoy lots of good food. This celebration signifies the end of an era for our high school graduates and is the last time that most will be together before embarking on their post high school lives. This special event sends a clear message to our students that we are proud of their accomplishments and that we care about their safety.

This event would not be possible without the generosity and collaborative efforts of community members, businesses, volunteers, parents and school staff.

If you are interested in assisting with or making a donation to continue this important tradition for our graduates, please attend this meeting or contact Ellen Zornes at 270-384-3400 or e-mail ellen.zornes@adair.kyschools.us or Brenda Mann at 384-2476 or e-mail brenda.mann@adair.kyschools.us. Adair High graduation is scheduled for Friday, May 18. As always, we appreciate all our community does to support our students!--Brenda Mann
