She was the daughter of the late Mason and Myrtie Willis Smith. She died Saturday, March 17, 2012, in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, at the age of 81 years, 1 month, and 9 days. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Mason "Micky" Smith and Marshall RaySmith.
