Bobbie Sizemore Keltner, Adair County, (1935-2012)

She was a native of Clay County, KY, and a member of a large, highly regarded Adair County, KY family. Her warm smile and cheerful way were an inspiration to all who knew her. She was a 1957 graduate of Good Samaritan Hospital Nursing Program, a retired registered nurse licensed in Kentucky and Ohio and a former health science teacher at the Russell County Vocational School, a co-owner of K & F Kentucky Food Store for 24 years and a homemaker, she was a member of the Columbia United Methodist Church.

Bobbie Sizemore Keltner, age 76 years of Columbia, KY passed away Sunday, February 26, 2012 at 5:35pmCT, at the Medical Center of Bowling Green in Bowling Green, KY after several years illness.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at 2pmCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, with Rev. Neil Janes and Rev. Richard Lowe the officiating clergy. Interment in the Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY. The family request visitation after 3:30pmCT on Tuesday at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home



Bobbie Sizemore Keltner, Adair County, (1935-2012)

She was born September 22, 1935 at Big Creek in Clay County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of the late Ted and Alpha Herd Sizemore. She died Sunday, February 26, 2012, in Bowling Green, Warren County, KY, at the age of 76 years, 5 months, and 4 days.

Mrs. Keltner was a 1957 graduate of Good Samaritan Hospital Nursing Program, a retired registered nurse licensed in Kentucky and Ohio and a former health science teacher at the Russell County Vocational School, a co-owner of K & F Kentucky Food Store for 24 years and a homemaker, she was a member of the Columbia United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, George T. Keltner of Columbia, KY and the following:
  • Two daughters: Leslie Keltner of Columbia, KY; and Alissa Barnes and husband Bob of Columbia, KY

  • One brother: Ted "Bear" Sizemore of Richmond, KY

  • Five grandchildren: Elise Murrell, Charlotte Murrell, Thomas Murrell, Payton Barnes and Logan Barnes all of Columbia, KY

  • And host of nieces, nephews, friends and relatives
She was preceded in death by a daughter: Jennifer Keltner in 2008 and by a stillborn daughter, Lisa Carol Keltner and by one brother, Melvin Sizemore.
