Jolene Blevins, Green Co., KY, native (1944-2012)

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Bethel Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was the Center Branch Bank Manager for the Edmonton State Bank having worked for the bank 29 years

Mrs. Sheila Jolene Blevins of Hardyville, Kentucky, daughter of the late James Atwell and Wilma Thompson Atwell, was born on September 20, 1944 in Green County, KY; and departed this life on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at her home in Hardyville. She was 67 years, five months and five days of age.

There will be a Celebration of Life Service held for Mrs. Jolene Blevins at 5pmCT, Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at the Sulphur Well United Methodist Church. Bro. Pat Smith will be officiating. There will be a private burial in the Hedgespeth Cemetery. Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home are in charge of the funeral arrangements. Visitation is requested 4pm-9pmCT Tuesday, February 28, 2012, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main Street, Greensburg, KY, with no visitation held on Wednesday. Pallbearers will be the family.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband: Dean Blevins. They were married on April 9, 1960 in Marion County, KY, and the following:
  • Two daughters and sons-in-law: Rebecca and Eddie Jessie of Sulphur Well, and Jennifer and Ben Davenport of Hardyville; KY

  • Grandchildren: Autumn Shirley and her husband Brandon,: Megan Jones and her husband Josh; Nick Jessie, and Seth Jessie all of Sulphur Well; and Hilary Suratt, Brayden Davenport, and Emilee Davenport all of Hardyville, KY

  • Great grandchildren: Sauyer Shirley, Hadleigh Jones, and Silas Shirley all of Sulphur Well, KY

  • Two sisters and a brother-in-law: Phyllis and Hubert Thompson of Louisville, KY; and Betty Ashe of Connecticut

  • And a host of other relatives and many friends.
