Genettia Loy, age 77 years, of the Fairplay community of Adair County, KY, passed away Monday, February 20, 2012at 6:02pmET at Audubon Regional Hospital in Louisville, KY.

Funeral services will be at 11amCT, Thursday, February 23, 2012 at Stotts-Phelps-McQuearyFuneral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Steve Pescosolido the officiating clergy. Interment in the Loy Cemetery, 1740 Loy Cemetery Road, Fairplay, KY. Visitation after 4:30 pmCT Wednesday, February 22, 2012.

She was born on October 27, 1934, in Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of the late James Alfred and Vina Akin Baker. She died Monday, February 20, 2012, in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, at the age of 77 years, 3 months, and 23 days.She is survived by her husband: Eros Loy of Fairplay, KY and the following:
  • One son: Donald Lynn Loy and wife Annie of Chicago, IL

  • Two grandchildren: Joshua and Noah Loy

  • Sister in law: Joyce Baker

  • Several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends
She was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother: Vestoria Morrison, Oneta Roberts andJames Delmon Baker.

She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and retired from SOS factory inChicago, IL.

Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, in charge of funeral arrangements
