April Sheppard suggests resources for Gradyville Flood research Comments re article 50017 ColumbiaMagazine.com files: Archives on the Gradyville Flood April Shepperd writes: You also might want to check with the local paper, The Adair Progress, and see what they have in the morgue. Their bound volume collection is quite extensive.Another thought would be to go to the Adair County Public Library and look in their local collections.Hope this helps.April Shepperd --April ShepperdThanks. April Sheppherd for these great ideas. Print sources are always an excellent source, and the Adair County Public Library, 307 Greensburg Street, with its excellent genealogy section, Kentucky Books, access to the Adair County Genealogy Files and contacts with Historian Mike Watson and others, should always be a first step in researching the Gradyville Flood. ColumbiaMagazine once did an entire print edition on the Gradyville Flood, and all 14 of the articles are still available at this link: Gradyville Flood Topic on ColumbiaMagazine. A number of bound copies of the Columbia! Magazine.com editions are still on around, many a loose leaf binders all the magazines to the date of binding. We are in the process of combining these stories into one package, as more stories on the Gradyville Flood from time to time. -EW This story was posted on 2012-02-15 02:17:57
