She was a native of Casey County, KY, a homemaker, and a member of Mt. Pleasant Church

Marguerite Davis passed away Monday February 6, 2012 at her residence in Campbellsville, KY. She was 85.

Funeral service are 2pmET/1pmCT, Wednesday February 8, 2012 at Mt. Pleasant Church. with Bro. Hershel Lawhorn officiating. Burial is in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday, February 7, 2012, from 5pm-9pmET/4pm-8pmCT, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, and Wednesday after 9amET/8amCT, at the church


Marguerite Davis, Taylor County, KY (1926-2012)

Born in Casey County, KY on Wednesday, June 2, 1926, she was the daughter of the late James Samuel and Mattie Hoskins Allen. She died Monday, February 6, 2012, in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 85 years, 8 months, and 4 days.

She was the widow of Arvil Davis, a homemaker, and member of the Mt. Pleasant Church.

Survivors include the following:
  • Four sons: Gerald (Judy) Davis of Campbellsville, KY; Paul (Carrie) Davis of Tampa, Florida; Steven (Betty) Davis of Cave City KY: and Jeffrey Davis of Tampa, Florida

  • Three daughters: Nellie (Randy) Blevins of Liberty, KY; Linda Davis of Lebanon ,Tennessee' and Lisa Reed of Danville, KY

  • Twenty-one grandchildren, and several great and great-great-grandchildren

  • Brother, Harold Allen of Texas

  • Two sisters: Helen Henson of Indianapolis, Indiana and Louise Adams of Texas
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Kay Blevins and four grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, family suggest donations to the Mt. Pleasant Church .
