Lacona Coffey, 89, Jamestown Street, Russell Springs, KY, died at the Russell County Hospital, Russell Springs, KY, on Wednesday, February 1, 2012, at 2:49pmCT.

The funeral service will be at Russell Springs Christian Church, 315 Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, at 11amCT, on Saturday, February 4, 2012, with Bro. Carroll Egnew. Bro. Tim Johnson, and Bro. mack Stephens officiating. Burial will be in the Russell Springs City Cemetery, Russell Springs, KY. Visitation was after 5pmCT, Friday, at the Russell Springs Christian Church.

She was born November 27, 1922, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Cornelius Stephens and the late Sarah Flanagan Stephens. She died in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, on Wednesday, February 1, 2012, at the age of 89 years, 2 months, and 4 days.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Russell Springs Christian Church.

She is survived by the following:
  • Her sons : Curtis Dean, husband of Beatrice Coffey, Hodges, SC; Ronnie G, husband of Marcia Coffey, Indianapolis, IN: and Denny M., husband of Linda Coffey, Russell Springs, KY

  • Brother: Louis Mack Stephens, Fort Oglethorpe, GA

  • Six grandchildren

  • Ten grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cornelius and Sarah Flanagan Stephens and by her husband, Cameron Coffey (d. May 15, 1992).Wilson Funeral Home, 391 E. Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY, in charge of arrangements.
